Diabetes Tips and Tricks: #DBlogWeek 2016

http://type2diabetestreatment.net/diabetes-mellitus/diabetes-tips-and-tricks-dblogweek-2016/

Today our community is "rounding out" Diabetes Blog Week 2016 by sharing our best diabetes tips and tricks.

That"s right, #DBlogWeek creator Karen Graffeo is calling for us to share tips from how we might organize our diabetes supplies and gear on the go/vacation to keeping track of prescription refills to any “unconventional” diabetes practices that may make our lives easier...

In other words, she"s basically calling for our best "life hacks" around diabetes -- a topic close to our hearts here at the "Mine!

In fact, we"ve spent a lot of time calling for and gathering diabetes life hacks.

Myself and my colleague Mike listed our own personal-best hack ideas not long ago here:

Going All MacGyver with Diabetes Life Hacks

Judging from the comments, the Sushi Carb-Counting Hack and Temp Basal for Exercise Hack were the community favorites there!

Our 2015 Patient Voices Contest also focused on hacks, and some of the best tips and tricks culled from that effort are listed here:

Some Diabetes Life Hacks You Might Love

Be sure to check out the Regular-Coke Finger Dip Method, and Kelly Kunik"s "Fancy Glass" Hypo Treatment, as a couple of favorites.

Or better yet, have another look at this video, brimming with great diabetes life hacks:

Become a Mentor, Foster Diabetes Innovation

On that note, for this year"s DiabetesMine Patient Voices Contest we"re focusing on the similar topic of Mentoring: How can YOUR experiences navigating the rocky waters of blood sugar control help others living with D? DiabetesMine Patient Voices Contest

We"re asking for folks to share their wisdom, and tell us why they"d like to be part of our annual DiabetesMine Innovation Summit taking place in San Francisco this year on Oct. 28.

The Contest closes for entries in just 3 days, on May 23, 2016, so be sure to enter ASAP!

You can take part in D-Blog Week yourself, or read other posts here, and be sure to follow hashtag #DBlogWeek
